Harvard as non Harvard students

Sunday, 30.03.2008

Waking up after a horrible cold night (the heater was broken but mind you after in the beginning of the night nearly broiling us…) we hardly couldn’t get out of bed. Even the breakfast couldn’t lift our / Julia’s mood. Far from it!! But I decided to laugh about it and after a while Julia did also.
In any case we headed to Harvard then. Over Harvard bridge, passing a lot of gasping runners, who run for some charity event we finally reached Cambridge and the Harvard campus. And it was so amazing!! I was really speechless. Just the library would be enough to make us both very very happy! We visited all these famous faculties, especially the law faculty and afterwards spent a long time in the Harvard shop. Unbelievable what you can buy there. Nearly everything!

Today we had lunch at a Mexican restaurant, fantastic Burritos and the chance to win $10.000. Hopefully we’ll be lucky!:-)
Then we took the subway to North station.
We wanted to do the so called Freedom trail back to the bus station. Our starting point was the USS Constitution, a very beautiful and old warship.

Then we walked back through Little Italy (North End) were we saw the Old North Church and the Paul Revere House. In the city center there is The Old State House, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall and the Old South Meeting House. At the end we did make our way back to the bus to Amherst and were happy to meet Triin and Jeff again. Jeff cooked a very delicious and healthy dinner and we watched a documentary about Estonians and Russians in Estonia together.
