Saying goodbye and an evening with "The Burner"

Saturday, April 12

Unfortunately Julia had to fly back home again...:-(
So I took her at the airport in the morning. The line at the check in was not very long and we didn't wait long. But then Julia's suitcase was too heavy. And instead of paying $80 for two additional kilos we decided to repack it. Too many nice books in the suitcase made then their way to the hand luggage. Hopefully Julia won't break down in Atlanta...:-)
But then another incident happened. The question was: "Where the f... is my green sheet of paper which is necessary for exit the states???" A hectically search began and, tah dah, we got it!!
So Julia could sucesfully check in. Afterwards we had to say goodbye... so we meet again in Septmber.Remember to keep the blue Gin cold!!!!
Afterwards I decided to go to central Philadelphia to buy my a train ticket to Montreal. The starting of my Canada trip in June...
I bought it at the Amtrak station and then went to the airport, picked up the car and drove back to Reading.

There I checked out if there are any tickets for the first playoff home game of the Royals in the evening. And when I saw there are any available I decided to go there and watch the match.
Burner, I'm coming...::--))
Okay, the match started at 7.05p.m. I had a really good place directly behind the penalty box of the Jackals.Really funny to watch the Royals fans teasing the "poor" Elmira players *haha* and I was really curious. Will the Royals win against the Elmira Jackals? They already lost the first playoff match in Elmira the day before, And it didn't look very well. We got 3 goals against and I think everybody felt the same: "That was it". But the the Royals started a really Power play. They battled back and fighted like it is a matter of life and death and suddeenly, P.J. Atherton shot the equaliser. Before, Danny Roussin had shortened two times. But then Elmira re-gained the lead but a few minutes Patrick Hersley again re-tied the game at four. Then the game was over...Overtime!! And then my prayers were heard. My favourite, the "Burner" Brock Hooton buried the puck in the net after 1:25 min of overtime.

The Royals finally won after nearly 3 hours !! A very nice evening for me even when I didn't get Hootons shirt but I got an original puck...:-)
